Reaching out to all children and parents who feel a little lost in the big wide world, My Magical Garden is an enjoyable, interactive and easy-to-use self-help book. A collection of illustrations and poems, this pioneering book has been written to help children, from the age of five, work through their emotions and express them in a safe and loving way. They are invited on an enchanted journey through a magical garden where, on each page, they get to choose their surroundings. In order to help the child and their parents understand their choices, the book’s authors have created an 11-page appendix at the back of the book. Here, they give an expert explanation for every decision the child has made. Say for example the child chooses a dragon to accompany him on his journey, this may mean that they are seeking protection and encouragement to overcome their fears, as the dragon represents protection, strength, courage and mystery. It’s an extremely helpful and insightful tool for both the child and parent. It offers the adult a unique way to understand what the child is going through and how best to aid them. For those growing up in the modern world, childhood can be a difficult and stressful time. This can have a huge impact on their life and may prevent them from reaching their full potential. Now more than ever there is a great need for all children to be empowered and to awaken their intuition. My Magical Garden encourages the child to tap into their imagination by getting them to create their own magical garden, giving them a safe place to go in their mind during times of stress, fear or sadness. It also offers an opportunity to nurture the bond between parent and child. The experience is magical. There is a guided meditation CD to complement the book. It guides the child through the same choices, allowing them to develop their imagination, visualization skills and helps with their practice of meditation thus helping them to create inner peace.
