My Aunt Flor

Autor Violeta Cornett
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 31 iul 2022
My Aunt Flor is about a special bond between an aunt and her nephew. Sebastian is a young Hispanic boy who wants to share the joy his aunt brings to his life and their culture, with some Spanish words translated to English. Sebastian finds himself experiencing different emotions such as being triste-sad and feliz-happy. He doesn't quite know what to do or what he is experiencing. So, on a visit to Aunt Flor's house, Sebastian explains what he is going through, and she helps guide him only the way Aunt Flor can, with love and laughter.

Notă biografică

When I am not crunching numbers, or joking with my siblings', I write a variety of stories. I have worked in the accounting and money management field for the past 10 years. I also dedicate my time to being an ESL instructor for adults, as well as being a part-time librarian. My name is Violeta Cornett I was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I currently now reside with my husband and 5 dogs in Colby, Kansas. Growing up in a Latino household has been a great influence in my writing. In my household Spanish sayings were big, and so were many stories about our culture. Due to some of these influences I chose this book "My Aunt Flor," to be my first picture book to represent me and my family.
