In June 1985, 20 year old former beauty pageant winner, Jackie Johns was found murdered. Two years later on the same spot the decomposed body of Debbie Sue Lewis was discovered. Sheriff Dwight McNiel's prime suspect was local rich boy Gerald Carnahan.
