More Ups than Downs
Autor Georgie Jonesen Limba Engleză Hardback – 18 mar 2027
From The Unpalatable Parts, a poem that refuses to apologise from being seen in the middle of the mess, unpolished and in progress to The Existence of Blobfish, an entreaty to hold on tight through bad news and mood swings, More Ups Than Downs charts the moments, high and low, big and small, that make up our existence.
Shot through with wit, feminism and utter joy in the everyday, this is a gorgeous compendium of comfort and wisdom for real life.
'Georgie is the best' - Donna Ashworth
'Georgie Jones has an extraordinary gift.' Beth O'Leary, bestselling author of The Flatshare, The Name Game and Swept Away
'Riveting, relevant, relatable poetry.' - Deborah Frances-White

Notă biografică
Praised for her 'formidable stage presence and compelling way with words' (Reviews Hub), Georgie Jones is a poet and performer known for her humour and heart. She started her career at the Roundhouse, where she was a Poetry Slam finalist and subsequently spent 12 months as Resident Artist. Since then, she has toured all over the world, including a sell-out 20 date tour across the UK and Ireland.
She has lent her signature wit and warmth to many brands and charities, having been commissioned to write for the likes of Sky, Samsung and Heinz. More recently, Georgie was longlisted for the Forward Prize and her poem 'Reason, Season, Lifetime' was Highly Commended. Online, her work has amassed millions of views, which led to a performance on BBC Woman's Hour, and a performance with Pitbull's band at the O2 Arena. Well, just outside it, but that's a technicality she refuses to dwell on.
