Monsters Play the Field: Monsters Play the Field, cartea 2

Autor Catherine Haustein
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 31 aug 2027

Love is complicated. It's even worse when you're a gorgon.

Gormley Grimn has finally found the life she's always wanted.

She teaches chemistry and monster survival at Manster College, a secluded school where creatures of every kind can belong. She's happily in love with Ormr Snaakemon, a charming half-serpent who's everything her previous relationships weren't.

Then the new dean arrives.

Determined to transform Manster College into a football powerhouse and strengthen ties with the human world, the formidable Valkyrie Mist threatens everything Gormley loves about the school.

As if that weren't enough, Gormley's long-vanished shapeshifter husband suddenly returns--bringing old secrets, unfinished business, and a future she thought she'd left behind.

With campus tensions rising and the threat of exile hanging over her, Gormley must decide what--and who--is truly worth fighting for.

Because building a happily-ever-after is hard enough.

Doing it as a gorgon? That's a whole different monster.

Perfect for readers who love cozy monster romance, paranormal rom-coms, quirky magical schools, found family, second chances, and laugh-out-loud fantasy.

Notă biografică

A childhood spent in the Midwest and Washington D.C. left Catherine Haustein with a fascination for political intrigue. She even ran for office once. She lost but came away with a treasure-trove of observations and an appreciation for people who keep their hand on the wheel of this experiment known as democracy. A clandestine alchemist, she's a professor emerita of chemistry and currently a freelance chemist and author. Other than these useful skills, she has a knack for spotting four-leafed clovers. She's also a fan of lost causes, including Medusa, who she views as completely misunderstood.
