Monarch to Mongolia

Kurt J. Berry's story begins in Salida, Colorado, and unfolds in the lush Willamette Valley of Oregon. After sampling college life, logging, and bartending, and sailing a 37-foot boat across the North and South Pacific with his father, Kurt discovered his calling with iconic Hard Rock Cafe International, where he led the charge in global expansion, opening cafes across five continents and and working in more than twenty countries. Driven by a desire to give back, he founded English for Humanity, a nonprofit that gave ambitious, low-income youth free English lessons, career guidance, and leadership training. Today, Kurt lives in Camas, Washington, with his wife CiCi, and speaks to hospitality teams and leadership groups about leading across cultures.
