This book is absolutely brilliant. I've previously tried to study Persian, but never really picked up how to read the script at all. After spending a few hours with this book over a few days, I can read words! The book not only explains the script itself, including every letter, but also what sounds are or are not written and why. There are other handy hints and tips, such as how to distinguish Persian from Arabic almost at a glance.
For me this book was a joy! It does a superb job of teaching you exactly what you need to know.
No fuzz and to the point.

The best introduction I have seen to the Persian script. Judith Meyer knows what it is like to be a language leaner and brings her invaluable insights to the Teach Yourself franchise.
