Stephanie Brinkley Wellon is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, author, vocalist, mentor, motivational speaker, facilitator and owner of Brinkwell Therapy & Counseling LLC. As a psychotherapist, Stephanie specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions along with offering individual, family, group and/or couples counseling in her private practice. Stephanie has an extensive background in child welfare, counseling and therapy and has worked with children, adolescents and adults since the early 1990's. Stephanie is a graduate of Bethune Cookman College earning a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and the University of North Florida where she earned a Masters Of Education in Counselor Education/Mental Health Counseling. Stephanie holds many certifications: Certified Anger Management Specialist -2, Certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Trainer, Certified Grief Specialist, Prepare Enrich and Parenting Facilitator.Misty Twisty Knot: Understanding Emotions and Behaviors Associated with Anxiety is the inaugural work in the Misty Twisty Book Series (R) Registered Trademark and was approached out of a need to offer a visual and relatable tool for children to identify with when experiencing anxiety or other distressing emotions. While Misty Twisty Knot is a fictional character, her experiences are real to many among us. Stephanie is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
