This book describes in some detail some of the characters, the scenery, and history of the Yukon. The reader will experience the seasons and colors of the natural world and will also learn about some of the interesting, enterprising and committed people who have chosen to make a life for themselves and their families in this harsh, unforgiving land, that at times was bitterely cruel but at other times pleasantly nurturing to the original native inhabitants of this region. The book also tries to explain the difficulties these people have experienced in the modern day Yukon Territory. The author intends to give the reader a clear and interesting picture and feeling of what it is like to live in a small community far up the Alaska Highway at Beaver Creek, Mile 1202.
