Eoin McLaughlin (Author)
Eoin McLaughlin was born in Ireland and lives in Mauritius with his partner and child. His first book, The Hug, was named a 'Book of the Year' by The Guardian. It's been translated into 19 languages and sold over 12,000 copies in the UK. The follow-up, While We Can't Hug, has been widely used to help children return to school during the pandemic. Recognised as "Timely" (The Telegraph), "Touching" (The Guardian) and "an important historical record of the time" (The Times).
Julia Christians (Illustrator)
Julia Christians received her diploma in communications design at the University of Art in Brunswick, and after graduating, started working as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. She lives in the deep dark forest of the Harz Mountains, Germany, with her husband, her kids, and a pack of dogs.
