Matthew Sadler wants to be rich and famous and so he sets out to seek his fortune. Using only his wits and things he collects as he travels, he overcomes monsters and a magician, rescues people from a tyrant, and collects a bag of gold and a magnificent horse. He even changes his name to improve his image. His home town treat him as a celebrity, but one of his adventures threatens the people he loves. Will Matt be able to save his own village?
