My daughter is going through a divorce, as is my step-daughter. What worries me is they both are the ages when their parents divorced. The book, Beyond the Power Principle, makes the point that we often do things our parents did at the same age. Not only profound, but a little scary. That's why I decided to write a series of fictionalized pieces about friends' marriages and their parents' marriages. We have the imprint, but it is a matter of whether or not that imprint now applies to our lives. I don't know the answer, that's why I want to write about it to find out.
