Marriage was never meant to be an afterthought or simply a convenient arrangement between two people. From the very beginning, God designed marriage as a covenant, a reflection of His love, and a mission field in itself. Yet in today's culture, the beauty and purpose of marriage often get lost amid selfish desires, broken commitments, and competing voices about what marriage should be. This book was born out of a deep conviction that marriage is more than just companionship-it is a calling. It is one of the clearest pictures we have of Christ's love for the church, and it carries with it a responsibility to live out that truth daily. My wife, Michelle, and I have been on this journey for over twenty years, learning through joys and challenges alike that marriage is not about perfect spouses, but about a perfect Savior working in and through imperfect people. Marriage as a Mission is not a manual filled with quick fixes or surface-level advice. Instead, it's an invitation to rediscover God's design for marriage and to embrace the role He intended it to play in our homes, communities, and the world. Along the way, you'll find biblical truths, real-life stories, and practical applications to help you view your marriage as more than just a personal blessing-it's a Kingdom assignment. My prayer is that as you turn these pages, you'll be reminded that your marriage has eternal significance. Whether you're newlyweds, seasoned spouses, or somewhere in between, may this book encourage you to walk hand in hand, not just with each other, but with the Lord, as you live out your marriage as a mission.
