Jordana Dym is Professor of History at Skidmore College, USA. She is the author of From Sovereign Villages to National States: City, State and Federation in Central America, 1759-1839 (2006), co-editor with Karl Offen of Mapping Latin America (2011), and has published articles and book chapters in French, English and Spanish.
