A manuscript paper journal would aid in organizing the composers notes in their head regarding songs that are currently being composed. Many composers can create entire songs and other music pieces in their head prior to writing the composition down on paper. If they are composing multiple pieces at the same time a journal would aid in keeping each composition organized and clear in the composer's mind.
