Autor Marilee Dahlman
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 6 aug 2026
When your dreams are dying, sometimes you have to chain yourself to what matters most. Kylie Kaiser, a fiercely independent custodian with a secret artistic passion, finds her sanctuary threatened when the Fort Empire Mall faces closure. Her hidden studio, where she crafts her unique Punk Piglets, is at risk, along with her dreams of becoming a professional artist. As the mall's fate hangs in the balance, Kylie must navigate a whirlwind of past love, political corruption, and community activism. With the return of her high school sweetheart and his ambitious wife, Kylie is thrust into a battle to save her creative haven. As she rallies the mall's eclectic community for a last-ditch "Punk Empire Extravaganza," she uncovers a web of deceit that could change everything. Amidst the chaos, a new romantic possibility emerges with Officer Henry Sandoval, challenging Kylie to redefine her future. Mall Goddess is a vibrant blend of humor, romance, and drama, exploring themes of art, identity, and the power of community. Join Kylie on her journey to transform a forgotten space into a beacon of creativity and connection, where love and integrity triumph over corruption and despair.

Notă biografică

Marilee was raised in a small Midwestern town and now she writes about invisible outsiders searching for where they belong. She's inspired by the women in her family-no-nonsense farmers and nurses who drive pickups, eat at McDonald's, and don't get knocked over by a forty-mile-per-hour wind or anything else that life hurls at them. Her writing tends to be quirky, a bit edgy, but always has plenty of heart. Marilee's short stories have been printed in numerous publications. Marilee currently lives in Washington, D.C., where she loves farmers markets and playing with her Persian cats.
