In 2010-2011, Michael Hanck spent a year working with people who were experiencing homelessness. He came to the job with very little knowledge about homelessness and about the challenges and joys he would face in the next year. Through short stories and anecdotes, recorded in journal entries that are accessible for all people, the journey of spending a year with the interesting, humorous, touching, and wonderful people of Tacoma, WA can be joined.
