Lucifer Speaks, giving his side of the story, asking mankind in rhyming verse, why he has been shunned and scorned, while explaining that not he has been the evil doer, rather, used as a scapegoat, having to suffer man's sins. He further reveals what really happened, way back then, in Heaven and why he was cast to earth, eventually depicted as a goat with horns, walking on hoofs.
