Grace Stoltzfus has loved Jacob Yoder since she was a child. When she meets an Englisher at the market place she is torn. When she sees Jacob with another young woman, she leaves her Amish community and marries the young Englisher who is soon deployed to Afghanistan. Once she's alone Grace realizes she's still in love with Jacob. She becomes a widow and finds out she's pregnant on the same day. Grace returns home scared and alone. Will her family and community forgive her and allow her to stay, or send her away to raise her baby alone?
