Love Simply

The middle child of five active boys, Douglas A. Alberts was born in Northern Minnesota. When he was two, his folks left the cold (for which, he always said, he was very grateful, as the cold chills him to the bone), heading West for new opportunities and settling on the Pacific Coast. After graduation from a Central California Valley high school, Doug joined the U.S. Air Force and was inspired to jot poetry and prose on tiny scraps of paper. Following military service, he married. fathered three children and began his rewarding career in ministry. Retirement provided time for reflection on life's joys and losses, organization of those paper bits, and thoughtful expressions of life filled with wisdom and humor. New experiences, a new marriage, and regular trips between coasts give Doug new prospects for exciting new writing.
