Autor Dr. Gilles A. LaMarche, Dr. Jeff Langmaid, Dr. Jason A Deitch Cuvânt înainte de Dr. Eric Berg
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 22 oct 2026
The revolutionary science showing how a simple upward shift in posture, breath, and attention can restore vitality in a heads-down world.

Something is wrong.

You feel it in your neck, your energy, your focus, your sleep. You feel it in the persistent sense that you're operating below your potential—even when every test comes back normal.

We've spent decades blaming stress, aging, burnout, and lack of willpower. But what if the real problem has been staring us in the face—or more accurately, beneath it?

In Look Up, three leading doctors reveal a hidden health crisis affecting billions of people worldwide: Tech Posture Syndrome. Created by years of downward screen use, sedentary behavior, compressed breathing, and chronic nervous-system overload, this modern epidemic quietly undermines physical health, mental clarity, emotional resilience, relationships, and long-term vitality. Drawing on cutting-edge neuroscience, biomechanics, respiratory physiology, embodied cognition, and more than sixty years of combined clinical experience, Dr. Gilles A. LaMarche, Dr. Jeff Langmaid, and Dr. Jason A. Deitch present a powerful new framework for understanding health in the digital age. At the center of their approach is a deceptively simple practice: Look Up.

With practical tools including the 20-Second Lift, the Sensory Diet, the Look Up Protocol, and the 30-Day Look Up Challenge, readers will learn how to improve posture, regulate stress, restore energy, deepen breathing, strengthen social connection, and reclaim the vitality modern life has been stealing.

Part science, part manifesto, and part practical guide, Look Up offers an inspiring vision of a future where technology works with human biology instead of against it—and where small daily adjustments create extraordinary lifelong results.

The heads-down world is making us sick.

It's time to look up.

“Whole-food nutrition and a well-tuned nervous system are two halves of real health. Look Up makes the second half impossible to ignore.”—Charles C. Dubois, president and CEO, Standard Process Inc.

“Literally a GPS for your new diagnosis of Tech Posture Syndrome—insightful, informative, and illuminating. It identifies the global problem and offers an individual action plan.”—Dr. Louis Sportelli, past president, ACA and NCMIC

“As a chiropractor who sees this condition all day, every word is real and true. We must look up if we ever expect to live a life full of health and hope.”—Selina Sigafoose Jackson, DC, FICA, International Chiropractors Association

"Things are looking up for everyone who reads this book. It’s an 'aha!' moment from the very first page that solves one of the most prominent health challenges of the modern age. It will be required reading for everyone in my family."—Del Bigtree, host of The HighWire

“True vitality comes from engagement—with our bodies, our communities, and our purpose. Look Up is an inspiring reminder that as technology advances, our humanity remains our greatest strength.”— Kevin Jackson, DC

"Look Up arrives at exactly the moment we need it. At a time when the physiological costs of our screen-saturated lives are hiding in plain sight—masked as stress, aging, or just "how things are"—this book does something rare: it names the pattern, explains the mechanism, and hands the reader a practical, immediate way out. The 20-Second Lift alone is worth the read, but the deeper gift is the framework—a way of listening to your own body that compounds in value for the rest of your life. Every person with a spine and a screen should read this book.” —Dr. Joel Bohemier

"This book nails the hidden epidemic so many of us see every day in practice: Tech Posture Syndrome. As the creator of PostureScreen, the leading AI powered posture and movement assessment app used by countless thousands of chiropractors and health professionals, we document exactly what the authors describe: Thousands of hours of forward head posture creating sixty pound loads on the cervical spine. The 20-Second Lift is brilliant as a minimum effective dose. Tools like PostureScreen make the invisible visible, so patients and clinicians can actually track real change. This is a must read."—Joe Ferrantelli, DC

"An eye-opening read and message; and sadly one that most of us can feel and yet aren't fully tuned into. This book is a catalyst for us to make daily changes that lead to more vitality. When you read Maya's story and the reality of the ramifications neurologically to her whole system—its hits you; her story is us all. Important information for all ages to pay attention to and it's an easy read!” —Lona Cook, DC

"Well written, comprehensive, with simple, easy to implement strategies. I have counselled my community on breath focused meditation and eye exercises for decades to help support their chiropractic adjustments and their neurology. This tool will take it to the next level for them. This book will transform lives.”—Peter Amlinger, DC

“As a chiropractor for the past forty-six years, I’ve spent my career teaching patients the importance of keeping their heads up to protect the cervical spine and nervous system. This book beautifully reinforces that message and offers a simple yet powerful reminder that the way we hold our heads can have a lasting impact on our health.—Michael Smatt, DC

"As a pediatric chiropractor, every day I see how posture influences far more than the spine—it shapes breathing, movement, nervous system function, and even a child’s ability to learn and thrive. This book has the potential to change the way parents think about human development by helping them understand that looking up isn’t just a posture correction—it’s a powerful investment in the health and potential of the next generation."—Dr. Stefanie Gross, chiropractor  and founder of Building Brilliant Brains
