Living Posthumorously
Autor Maham, J. C.en Limba Engleză Paperback
Following the death of his good friend, poet, Jim Spurr, J. C. Mahan paused to consider mortality, his own and that of those close to him. He "looked out the window and realized only so many summers were left." He also noted the simultaneous waning of one's sense of humor. Consequently, when he heard that his friend's last poetry manuscript was to be published posthumously, he coined a new term he calls "posthumorously," which he defines as how one lives after one's humor is subdued by loss and grief. He describes this collection as a whimsical look at ourselves and the reality of living after loss.
