After a traumatic birth experience, a new mother finds herself struggling with little support. With nowhere else to turn, she seeks the help of an independent lactation specialist, who introduces her to a community of women in similar situations. At first, the Sisters-in-Loving-Arms seem peaceful and supportive, if not a little over-regulated. But soon, her hesitation grows into something much more concerning, and she realizes she must submit to her new reality or become something more-something more terrifying-to save her and her baby.
