In the genre bending short novel Light up the Darkness the author paints an unimaginable future of life on earth, one ultimately left in the hands of a brilliant scientist named Jackson Webb. In the very near future the United States government sets out in earnest to find a cure for AIDS, a noble effort brought to fruition during the 2016 GOP republican primary cycle, doing so in a program called The Race for a Cure Agenda. This gallant effort in essences helping to wipe human life as it once existed from the planet. Webb, seemingly alone he struggles to find his way only the family dog remains to help him hold onto the life that he once had, a life now lived only in his mind. Even now some three years after the annihilation of life on the planet Webb continues to hold onto his dreams these helping to block the hauntingly frightful sounds of the new inhabitants, these hybrid creatures reborn from death walking the earth nightly in search of the fresh flesh that their new bodies so violently crave.
