S. Chrystine began writing as a self-therapeutic aid, which has guided her through her life and adapting to a 'normal" society. Living in a small town, growing up with a disability was hard and sometimes quite lonely. Her poetry has aided her by teaching her how to express her thoughts and emotions. It has also helped her battle through depression and tremendous feelings of loss and separation which comes with the feelings that you are 'different" than the rest of society around you.
