Life's a Gamble is the story of Jack Preston in his later years. It tells how he has the perfect life with his wife Laura, their two daughters and three grandchildren. However, a calamitous event throws all their lives into disarray and misery. As the story unfolds, however, we see how Jack finds a way through the complicated tangle of his new situation with the help of a very special friend.
