After being guaranteed a job, only to have it ripped away for reasons still unclear, Joe Dimeck decided to dig through his archives and reexamine the past ten years of his life. He soon realized he had enough for a book and figured he had the time to compile an ADD friendly amount of his work into this, Life on a Treadmill: The Collected Works of a Successful Failure. Inspired by a quote from his notebook and a general sense of perpetual shortcomings, Life on a Treadmill felt appropriate as a title. Like many other successful failures before him, Dimeck decided productivity over self-loathing and inactivity was the only course of action. Also, he needed a means to pay his rent and figured self-publishing a book beats a job at Walmart. Life on a Treadmill features essays, articles, short stories, and other bits of quality nonsense from 2006-2013. The goal of these collected works is to provide the reader with easy-to-read pieces that are entertaining, humorous, or informative.
