Lie with the Wolves

Brother and sister Michael and Olivia Brooke haven't lived in their new house long before strange things start happening. First an amber-eyed wolf attacks Michael in the woods behind the house. Then the children's mother vanishes, the only clue an ominous message left drying on a wall.

Michael and Olivia soon discover that the new house also comes with a previous occupant-the ghost of a young girl named Suzy Walters.

Suzy leads the two children to the In-Between, a dimension that lies between the living earth and the underworld. Signs suggest their mother's abductor took her there.

But the In-Between is dying and the Brooke family is somehow connected; to unravel the mystery and save their mother, the children must first aid the denizens of the realm.

A mixture of fantasy and horror similar in tone to Stephen King's Dark Tower series, "Lie with the Wolves" introduces readers to a world that's only a hairsbreadth away from our own.
