As a primary grade educator faced with the task of teaching about challenging but unavoidable topics involving social justice and oppression, Saskatchewan-based teacher and author Keilyn Howie recognized the lack of age-appropriate resources to do so- so she created her own. This is the first book of a series titled "Let's Talk About", designed to introduce complicated topics to children in age-appropriate ways. The goal of this series is to encourage honest, empowering dialogue with children while providing the opportunity to make meaningful connections and wonders, as well as see the identities of themselves and their peers validated and celebrated.
