This unit will take children to the wonderful world of insects and spiders. It will explore insects' similarities and differences though art projects, science experiments and other activities for learning centers. The unit will also include weather- and spring-themed activities such as creating a spider web at the dramatic play area; making a tornado inside a bottle; preparing an edible mushroom out of an egg and tomato - to name a few. Each segment in this unit includes a complete planning web and goal. All activities are described in great detail and have been previously tested in a preschool classroom.
