When the lights go out, and the quiet feels a bit too big, a brave little bear named Keetu arrives with his shield of light, ready to stand guard. In this soothing, lyrical poem, Keetu guides young readers through all the ways he keeps their room safe: chasing off shadows, spotting imaginary monsters, and turning nighttime worries into peaceful dreams.
Filled with soft, calming illustrations by Vaeh Lina, this tender story helps children recognize that fears are natural, and that a touch of light can make bedtime feel cozy and secure again.
Perfect for bedtime routines, anxious sleepers, and little ones who need an extra glow of reassurance.

Notă biografică
Veronica Stockton-Kushner was born and raised on Vancouver Island and now lives in the Okanagan Valley with her husband, young son, and family cat (Miss Junebug). Reading and writing have always been both an escape and deeply grounding hobby for Veronica, so when her son was born in 2021 she made it her mission to instill a love of stories in him as well. After reading hundreds of books together and seeing which types of stories captured his imagination, she felt inspired to write her own tales to add to his bookshelf.Veronica writes engaging stories that help early readers explore their imaginations and start conversations with their grown ups. She believes emotional connection is the foundation from which confidence and independence grow, and story time is a crucial building block of that foundation. When not writing, Veronica can usually be found on an adventure with her family or attempting a new bread recipe (with a matcha in hand).
