Many years after her father's death, Buddhist nun, Dechen Zoban, discovers that her mathematician father was murdered. She undertakes to solve his homicide which occured in 1945, when she was nine years old. It takes all of Zoban's Buddhist discipline, and all of her cunning worldly knowledge to solve this crime. Her grown children help her, but all of them are at risk of death from unknown agencies.
