All they wanted to do was to be movie stars. Instead, they meet every pervert and creep on the make from New York to Detroit. K and J thought they could hitch rides to Hollywood and become stars, but life is a lot like hitching rides; sometimes you get lucky, but most of the time you do not. Having to deal with an accidental murder, an abduction that lasted months, and then institutionalized, can make anyone go numb and just give up. Rather than facing life in a mental ward the two break out and are trained by another misfit who craves vengeance as much if not more than they do. Things take a turn for the worse when they get caught and the Government wants them. Trouble is they don't need the Government.
