We set forth in our lives with plans and goals that make perfect sense-the path, the timing, the people. We have orchestrated it all out in our minds. We play it forth like a movie just how it's supposed to go. There's a big crescendo at the end, signifying the perfect life. The real version is life is full of the unexpected. And it is not just getting your order incorrect at lunch or running fifteen minutes late. It's messy. More often than not, the unexpected halts us in our tracks, puts us in a tailspin, and makes us question our faith. How we handle the small unexpected things in life can help us handle the big unexpected things in life. Joy in the Journey provides anecdotes from a real mom's real journey through her son's cancer diagnosis, not once, but twice. It captures a real life story with humor, tears, awe, and grace, interwoven with Scripture to help you get through the unexpected. Note pages are included to mark your own journey or jot down inspiring words that are encouraging to you. This book is for each of you that is on your own journey or helping someone through theirs. It is meant to be read in the order that helps you the most for the moment you are in. Laugh, cry, fall to your knees in prayer. And even through the darkest times and places, find joy in your journey.
