Within the haunting echoes of Geoff Goddard's 'Johnny Remember Me' lie untold stories, waiting to be imagined. This anthology presents twelve original tales inspired by one of the most atmospheric songs of the early 1960s, each exploring a different possibility hidden within its unforgettable lyrics. Who was Johnny? Who was the young woman he loved and lost? Was her voice truly calling to him across the moor, or was grief weaving ghosts from the wind and rain?
Each standalone story offers a new answer. Every Johnny is a different man. Every lost love is a different woman. Some hauntings are supernatural, others born of memory, guilt or longing, but all are rooted in the melancholy beauty of the song that inspired them. Written for a mature audience, these stories explore themes of grief, obsession, loss and the supernatural. From windswept moors and lonely churchyards to gritty bedsits and rain-soaked streets, they imagine the lives that might have existed behind one of Britain's most enduring musical mysteries.
