Notă biografică

Mark E Dixon has had a fascination with the JFK story for most of his adult life. What still surprises him, more than sixty years on, is that the truth has never been fully established - not for want of investigation, but in spite of it.This book is his attempt to set out where that leaves the reader. It follows the whole story.Mark E Dixon was born in Newcastle upon Tyne. He spent the first part of his working life as a vehicle technician and moved into web and software development, which is what he still does. He had no training as a historian and has never worked in an archive. The research habit came from the reading. He grew up interested in America in the 1960s and 1970s - Kennedy and Dallas, the space race, Vietnam and Watergate - and found, as most people who go down that road find, that the published accounts disagree with each other in ways the published accounts do not acknowledge. Working out who was right meant going back to what the record actually said, and going back to what the record actually said turned out to be the interesting part.
