Jane Agminey is the new detective for the Huntsville Police Department. So far the job was really boring: till Jane encounters Emma Shiller, an orphan with a case of memory loss, recently adopted by the Shillers, the richest people in the region of Bartholomew. Jane is skeptical of the girl's story. Yet the deeper she delves into this unique mystery, the more she believes that the Shillers are guilty and the more intricate the mystery gets. Thankfully she has Constable Wyatt, an ex-detective who had been able convict Mason Shiller's late father, Walter Shiller, of murder. But even he admits the current lawbreaking Shiller is more slippery than the previous one. How will she be able to convict the Shillers?
