When awakened at 3:33 a.m. from a stuporous dream by his Captain, Detective Stanislaus Jakubowski (call me jake) began the quest to find the vicious murderer in Brooklyn, of his now retired, former detecting partner and mentor, Pete Cisneros. We follow this brusque, gruff-exteriored, foul language cop, through his words, eyes, ears, and thoughts until the dramatic surprising conclusion. This highly character driven novel finds him suspecting almost everyone. Even his own bad boy reputation and missing revolver make him a target of an Internal investigator as the murderer.
