Is it Okay is a chapter book about Issa-Bella, a high spirited, eight year old girl. She is questioning who she is, as well as who and what she should identify with. She brings attention to what culture means to her, and what it looks like for others. Sharing her experiences, she challenges the reader to embrace her culture, the culture of others, and the differences that make us all unique.
