Is It My Hormones?

Autor Tang
en Limba Engleză Hardback – iun 2027

A comprehensive guide to the truths and misunderstandings about the hormones that define our mental, physical, and emotional lives, from a trusted, board-certified gynecologist.

Dr. Karen Tang, an internationally recognized board-certified gynecologist and surgeon--and "literal godsend to women in a time still filled with great ignorance" (Sharon Stone)--has made it her mission to offer empowering, detailed, and fact-forward information about women's reproductive health to women of all ages and life stages. In her popular debut, IT'S NOT HYSTERIA, she offered a comprehensive, radical guide to common conditions and treatment options, to help readers educate themselves about their gynecologic health.

Now, in IT'S PROBABLY HORMONES, she applies that top-to-bottom framework to the full scope of our hormonal lives, from puberty and birth control to pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and beyond. In her trademark conversational, patient-forward but research-based tone, Tang outlines the dominating hormones at each stage, explaining their functions and how they interact with each other, and the larger body, and addresses common myths and misconceptions, and misinformation along the way. Educational, accessible, and all-too-necessary, IT'S PROBABLY HORMONES is the perfect lifetime guide and companion for women and girls.
