Iran presents a hyper dilemma for the Bush Administration. On the one hand, the power players seem to want to invade Iran to halt any nuclear weapons development and deployment. On the other hand, it seems clear that America's military resources are already seriously strained by their occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan. Thus a policy of diplomacy, threats and old-fashioned knuckle-breaking is being applied. Iran, of course, realises this and is trying to establish itself as a legitimate nuclear power while the opportunity exists.
