Notă biografică

Forouhar Farzaneh was born in Tehran, Iran in 1957. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Shiraz, in 1980, Master degree from E.N.S.T., Paris in1981, DEA and Doctorate from University of Limoges, France in 1982 and 1985, respectively. He was with Tehran Polytechnic from 1985 to 1989. Since 1989 he has been with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Sharif University of Technology where he is a Professor. He was the Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering, from 1992 till 1995. His main areas of interest are Nonlinear RF Circuits, Microwave and Millimeter wave systems, Antenna Arrays and Wireless Communications. He is the author of a book in the field of Communication Circuits in Persian, published by Sharif University Press. He has been a Senior Member of IEEE since 1997. He was a co-recipient of the Microwave Prize-European Microwave Conference in 1985, a recipient of the Maxwell Premium of IEE, U.K. in 2001, and co-recipient Mojtahedi Innovation Award (Sharif University of Technology) in 2010. He was also the recipient of the 2015 Hakkak award, in recognition of his tremendous life-time contribution to national development and propagation of research in Communications Engineering presented by IEEE-Iran Section.
