Restorative justice (RJ) has become a vital part of responses to crime and harm across the world, yet its potential extends far beyond the criminal justice system. This pioneering book explores how RJ is being embedded across whole-country systems, from policing, education and healthcare to social work and organizational structures and practice. Using the UK as an example, it provides a comprehensive review of how RJ is implemented in institutional policy and community settings.
The 24 chapters trace the integration and development of RJ's transformative impact across sectors. Bringing together leading scholars and practitioners, this timely volume is essential reading for those engaged with restorative approaches and their role in transforming society.
