In and Through the Night is inspired in form by Chinese and Japanese poetry, and finds its content connection with Indian, mystical, and mundane thought. The goal of each poem is to impart an individual insight that leaves a personal space that the reader can identify with and fit him or herself into. Each of the collections consists of one aphorism and 11 poems arranged thematically.
