Buzz Baum leads a team studying the cell biology of archaea and the origins of complex cells at the MRC-Laboratory of Molecular Cell Biology in Cambridge, one of the birthplaces of modern molecular biology and the UK's flagship research centre for fundamental biomedical research.
His work has encompassed a rare breadth of biology.
