I've Seen Dry is a novel set in a fictional region along the Montana-North Dakota border. Two elderly women in 1981 tell the story of a killing in 1918 by remembrances shared with Pastor Wil, a young clergyman. Pastor Wil narrates the story, while learning about life in the small town. Political tensions from the earlier time may still have an impact on their small community.
