I Texted an Orc by Mistake

At forty-two, Tessa Rowan has rebuilt her life after divorce and learned not to wait for anyone to rescue her. Then footsteps sound below her bedroom, and one mistyped digit sends her whispered plea-and her address-to a stranger.

Korr Dain is not an ordinary stranger. He runs the overnight crisis desk at Ironclad Orc Security. He keeps Tessa on the phone, alerts the police, and reaches her door before the intruder reaches her.

The attacker escapes. The police call it a failed burglary. Korr sees something colder: a professional warning connected to a case Ironclad has been tracking.

Tessa agrees to protection for one night. One night becomes a guarded safe house, shared meals at impossible hours, and a growing attraction neither of them can dismiss. Korr's instincts insist she is his mate, but he will claim nothing she does not freely choose. Tessa is beginning to want the one thing that frightens her more than danger-a man who means it when he says he is staying.

But the intruder is still watching, and next time, he will not come merely to frighten her.

I Texted an Orc by Mistake launches the Ironclad Orc Security series with danger, explicit consensual passion, and a complete happily ever after. Each linked standalone follows a new couple while the wider Ironclad investigation continues.
