The story journeys through a life spent after graduation first as a businessman, interior designer, entrepreneur and restaurateur for a period of twenty years. Then at the urging of a friend taking the architectural licensing exam twenty years after graduation, passing and commencing ten years as an architect in which his firm grew from a one-man firm to a 100-employee operation with offices in Miami and on three islands in the Caribbean. This was followed by ten years spent as a Caribbean hotel owner/operator and finally in retirement as a writer with six books published prior to I Once was an Architect.
