Imagine being first about everything because your name says you should be. Is that really possible? Isabella Marie Furst thinks so. Author Christie Wayne's I. M. Furst: The Story of Isabella Marie is the story of little Isabella Marie Furst, who takes her initials-I. M.-a little too seriously. She has an "I am first" attitude toward everything in her life. Izzy-as she's also called-demands to be first in everything. She doesn't think about the needs and feelings of other children, or anyone else. Discover what happens when her family has finally had enough of her behavior and decides to teach her a lesson. It doesn't take long for Izzy to learn that being liked is much more enjoyable than being first. Told in verse, I. M. Furst: The Story of Isabella Marie also shows there are things more important than being first. For Izzy, that includes caring about others and having friends.
