Cypress Ross is the spoilt, drug-dependent daughter of a strict pastor who adheres to the law. But she has an unquenchable hunger for attention. Cypress relocates to the seedy parts of Brooklyn to start college because she wants to escape the restrictions of her strict parents and live the life she wants. She is able to live there as an adult, including engaging in adult-like activities. She's not ready for the financial strain of having to pay the bills and maintain the business.
